In little more than 25 years – so the theory goes at least – one-quarter of the country’s electricity needs will come via homegrown nuclear power. Given the chequered history of attempts to bring through new nuclear, reaching that target by 2050 from the current 15 per cent looks ambitious.
But one place central to turning those aspirations into reality is the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) in South Yorkshire, which sits on land which was once part of Orgreave Colliery.

The facility has been used since 2012 as a base for researchers to test and develop millions of pounds worth of manufacturing innovations for the nuclear industry.

It mostly takes place in a giant open-plan workshop with offices on the top floor which overlook the hive of activity taking place below. On May 27, 2009, three astronauts launched to the International Space Station to complete the crew of Expedition 20.

Expedition 20 was the first six-person crew to live and work at the space station for a long-duration stay. Russian cosmonaut Roman Romanenko, Canadian astronaut Robert Thirsk and Belgian astronaut Frank De Winne lifted off on a Soyuz rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Two days later, they arrived at the space station, where they were greeted by the Russian commander Gennady Padalka, NASA astronaut Michael Barratt and Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata. For the first time in ISS history, the space station was packed to its full capacity of six crewmembers. Previous Expedition crews consisted of three people. But ever since Expedition 20, the space station has continued to support crews of six. Because the Soyuz capsules that ferry people to and from the ISS can only fit three people, only half of each Expedition crew can launch at a time. This is why it too two launches to get the full crew of Expedition 20 to the space station.

The CUPRA Leon is developed to revamp the high-performance compact segment, building on the generations of vehicles that came before it.
“The king of Leons draws together the core elements that every vehicle of the brand must have: design, performance and dynamism,” said Wayne Griffiths, President of CUPRA and SEAT. “It is a vehicle that is helping us to win over even the most demanding car enthusiast, grow the brand, and take its vehicles to an even broader audience.”
Underpinned by the MQB Evo platform and a suite of technologies, the design and development team created a vehicle that specifically delivers CUPRA’s core characteristics. At its heart is a range of extraordinary powertrain options that mix the most advanced combustion technology and the pinnacle of the industry’s push towards electrification.
Available in two body styles available – 5-door and Sportstourer – the CUPRA Leon expands its appeal, allowing customers to choose the vehicle that best fits their lifestyle, without needing to compromise on performance, comfort or practicality.

When Matthew McConaughey moved with his wife Camila Alves and their kids from noted LA-area beach town Malibu to Austin, Texas ten years ago, it seemed like a good fit. Alves spoke out about how they didn’t have a ton of privacy thanks to McConaughey’s stardom in tinseltown and Texas offered a lot of opportunity for a fresh start. But in some more recent comments the mom of three clarified her stance on when they first moved.

In fact, while the paparazzi-on-the-doorstep piece might be true, it was only one piece of the puzzle. In fact, Alves said she was very happy in Southern California, but marriage in general is a compromise and living there also came with drawbacks, as noted prior.
